Dear Missionary Joseph and CMI coworkers,

ImageWe know that your long journey by air or by car driving thousands of miles, your renovation work and your very precious time of more than four days obviously show us how God loves us and encourages our starting a ministry in
Montreal. How can we express our thanks to you? On the other hand, we thank God who used DCFM and our house to serve the CMI leaders meeting.

May our Lord bless all CMI ministries in USA and Canada!

The future of CMI does not depend on the size of the ministry. I believe it depends how pure we are in our hearts and how faithful we are to God’s word.” -- John Shin

After listening to many feedbacks on the conference, I would like to present my report as a record of history for remembering God’s gracious work and encouraging co-workers to advance God’s kingdom. We had total 320 registered attendances: 191 from USA, 42 from Canada, 85 from eleven countries, and 2 guest speakers (there were about 30 youth and 30 children with separate programs). I thank God for all the speakers and servants of the Lord who prayed and blessed this conference. The conference videos should be available on the website www.campusmi.org. May the word of God in John 13-17 dwell in each of us richly to bear much fruit for the glory of God: “Washed in Him,” “Trust in Him,” “Abide in Him,” and “Become One in Him.”

Dear CMI coworkers in the Lord,

By the grace of our Lord, I am so honored and privileged to serve North American CMI ministry next two years. I thank God for your unreserved support and prayers in spite of my weaknesses.  If I had a choice, I would wholeheartedly recommend former Presidents Mark Hong and Joshua Lee to continue their services as President, but now I humbly accept your choice at the General Assembly as God’s providential will and my cross of mission.  With the help of the presidential team—Timothy Lee and Andrew Han—and our board members’ oversight and prayers, I feel encouraged to carry out my responsibilities before God. I welcome fresh board members: Brian Shin and Russell Kumagai joining the board of John Shin, Joseph Kim, Peter Chung, Paul Laska, and Mark Hong. May the Lord bring us closer to each other as one body and strengthen weak members of Christ.

ImageDear Coworkers in North America CMI in Christ Jesus,

“All people on earth will be blessed through you.” (Genesis 12:3)

Thank you for your prayers for North American CMI General Assembly 2008. We had about 40 attendees including 5 Chicago CMI members, and 7 Chicago CMI friends.

The meeting was in Chicago prepared and served by M. Jacob Kim so sacrificially including the Sunday Worship message. His son Gus Kim made the conference banner as his prayers and thanksgiving to God who led CMI thus far. M. Boksoon Kim from Houston served opening message of the meeting. And there was a lecture and practice of Christian Counseling by Dr. Paul Chae. Several members could visit the conference site, “2008 CMI International Conference” that will be from July 31st to August 3rd in Zion Illinois.

Chicago CMI Report PDF Print E-mail

Dear Missionary Joshua Lee and all CMI partners,

It is really encouraging to see how God has renewed Korean CMI and how God is encouraging USA/Canada, Germany and European ministries by ordaining four pastors and by blessing conferences. Many former and current missionaries in Chicago are fascinated by the news that Missionary Joshua Lee and three other front line missionaries have been ordained as pastors in CMI. Currently three missionaries are attending CMI M. Div program from Chicago. My feeling is that several more former missionaries and others will participate in CMI M. Div program soon. Especially pray for former Missionary Joseph Ku, Esther Ku, Benjamin Park, Dr. Daniel Shin and Mary Hong to join this program soon.
